Hawai'i captured the first point in doubles play. The No. 2 pair of Rebecca Faltusz and Cindy Nguyen earned UH's first victory as they defeated UNLV's Anett Ferenczi-Bako and Mercedes Lopez Valez, 6-1. UH's No. 1 duo of Paulina Petriskova and Martina Kostalova knocked off UNLV's Santa Shumilina and Bojana Petrovic, 6-2, to give the `Bows the early 1-0 lead. The No. 3 duo of Sarah Gealer and Klara Pribylova were leading 4-3, but the match went unfinished. 

The 'Bows took their momentum into singles play. No. 1 Nguyen earned UH's first singles win as she cruised past UNLV's Santa Shumilina in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. No. 2 Viktoria Malova got on the board as she swung past the Rebels' Anett Ferenczi-Bako in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2. Faltusz would seal the win for UH in the No. 6 slot, holding off UNLV's Bojana Petrovic, 6-3, 6-3. No. 5 Gealer went on to defeat the Rebel's Mercedes Lopez Valez, 6-1, 6-2. In the last match of the day, No. 3 Kostalova edged out UNLV's Iren Kotseva in three sets, 7-6 (5), 4-6, 10-3 to give UH its sixth and final point.

The Rainbow Wahine will now travel to Northern California to face No. 59 San Jose State at the Spartan Tennis Courts in San Jose, Calif. on Thursday, April 2. The matches will start at 1:30 p.m. (PT)
