HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i women's track and field team hosted the Leah Bennett Invitational Saturday at the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex.
Blustery conditions affected the athletes throughout the day, varying from strong headwinds to a tailwind throughout the day.
On the track, newcomer
Robyn Brown posted a UH All-Time Top 10 mark in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:04.91, which places her eighth on the list.
In the field events, pole vaulter
Robyn Morioka jumped nearly a foot higher than she did all throughout the indoor season (12-5½ / 3.80m) and
Joanna Franke-Kuhn threw the hammer 169-6 (51.66m), demonstrating that she is back on track to another NCAA Championship appearance after redshirting last season.
Had the meet been an NCAA-sanctioned competition, UH athletes would have posted 15 Big West qualifying performances. See list below.
