Tournament WebsiteCHULA VISTA, Calif.  – The No. 1 University of Hawai'i women's sand volleyball team heads to Southern California for the USA Volleyball Beach Collegiate Challenge, April 14-15. The Rainbow Wahine will play a pair of dual matches on Saturday morning before competing in pairs competitions Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday.
The Rainbow Wahine will face Grand Canyon University (10:00 a.m. PT) and TCU (12:00 p.m. PT) in dual matches on Saturday morning. The 32-team pairs competition will begin Saturday afternoon and conclude with the finals slated for 2:00 p.m. PT on Sunday.
Also competing in the event will be No. 2 Pepperdine and Cal State Bakersfield.
The 'Bows (2-0) breezed by then-No. 5 Loyola Marymount in their season opener this past Friday at Queen's Beach. They then sent shockwaves through the sand volleyball landscape by upending top-ranked and defending national champion Pepperdine, a feat that UH had not accomplished in five previous meetings.

Olivia Urban battled their way to a runner-up finish.
