HONOLULU -- The No. 48 University of Hawai'i women's tennis team fell 5-2 to No. 43 San Diego State on Saturday morning at the UH Tennis Complex.

The Aztecs took the early lead as they snatched the doubles point. SDSU's Dora Somoracz and Kennedy Davis won their match against UH's Rebecca Faltusz and Viktoria Malova, 6-2. while the 'Bows No. 2 pair of Sarah Gealer and Martina Kostalova fell to SDSU's Tami Nguyen and Hailey Johnson, 6-2. UH's No. 1 duo of Cindy Nguyen and Klara Pribylova fought hard, but they came up short against SDSU's Kristin Buth and Jana Buth, 6-4. 

In singles action, UH's Nguyen gave the Rainbow Wahine's their first point of the match, beating No. 1 SDSU's Kristin Buth, 6-2, 6-1. Bows' Pribylova cruised past Paola Diaz de Regules in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4. In other matches, Hawai`i's Malova went three sets against SDSU's Tami Nguyen, but fell 6-1, 0-6, 6-3 while UH's Gealer also went three sets against Aztec's Hailey Johnson, but came up just short, losing 6-2, 3-6, 6-3. 

The Bows will next play against No. 10 Michigan on Friday, Mar. 6. Matches will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the UH Tennis Complex.
