HONOLULU – Former University of Hawai'i men's basketball coach Larry Little passed away on Wednesday in Las Vegas.
Little coached at Hawai'i for nine seasons from 1976-85, tied for the fourth longest tenure in the 91-plus years of the program. His 103 wins ranks third all-time in UH history.
Little coached the 'Bows for three seasons before leading the program into the Western Athletic Conference in 1979-80. In just their second season in the league, the 'Bows pulled a huge upset with an 83-74 win over No. 6 Utah. Little recorded 40 conference wins ranking him second all-time in UH history.
Little also coached at Centenary and had been living in Las Vegas.
