HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i women's basketball team dropped its' fourth-straight game to No. 11/12 Texas A&M, 82-41, Friday night at the George Q. Cannon Activities Center to conclude the Tom Weston Classic. UH falls to a 4-5, 0-0 Big West record, while the Aggies advance 6-1.

In UH's third game against a nationally ranked opponent in just a span of one week, the Rainbow Wahine were held to just a 31.8% field goal percentage, going 14-for-44 from the field, and 0-for-13 at three-point range. Meanwhile, the Aggies posted a solid 53.5% shooting percentage (38-71), making three of five three-point attempts.

After the Aggies opened the first quarter with a 12-2 run over the 'Bows, UH could never rally back for a full recovery. Buckling under an intense Texas A&M pressure, UH committed 23 turnovers, ultimately giving away 37-points to the Aggies. But in spite of a statistical blowout, the Rainbow Wahine maintained its signature in rebounds, going neck-and-neck with Texas A&M, 35-35 in total rebounds (11-12 offensive, 24-23 defensive).

Kalei Adolpho led the Rainbow Wahine with 12 points and two rebounds, for her second-straight double-figure game. Meanwhile,
Destiny King added nine points, while
Ashleigh Karaitiana and
Megan Huff added a game-high seven rebounds apiece.

The Aggies' Khaalia Hillsman and Courtney Williams tied with Adolpho for a game-high 12-points each.

The Rainbow Wahine will return to the Stan Sheriff Center, Dec. 10 for an exhibition match-up against BYU-Hawai'i at 7:00 p.m. HT.
