Emily Maglio. Greeley and Maglio also led UH with two blocks apiece and Greeley and Kahakai had a team-high 11 digs each.
Tayler Higgins had 28 assists while Taylor tied her career-high with four aces—including three straight in the third set on Sunday night in front of a crowd of 7,922 in the Stan Sheriff Center. The Rainbow Wahine remain the lone unbeaten team in the Big West. Cal State Fullerton fell to 0-21 overall, and 0-9 in conference.
The night got off to an emotional start with senior Manu-Olevao surprising the crowd with an amazing rendition of the National Anthem and Hawai'i Pono'i.
The Rainbow Wahine then got to business, jumping out to an early 5-1 lead off four serves from Kahakai. Hawai'i maintained that lead the rest of the way as UH took a 1-0 lead by capturing the first set, 25-17. Greeley led UH in the first set with four kills in eight swings.
In the second set, both Manu-Olevao and Maglio tallied five kills each to propel the 'Bows to a 25-18 to take a 2-0 lead. UH scored five of the last seven points in the set.
In the third set, Fullerton's service error made the score 3-3. Taylor then reeled off three-straight service aces to give UH a little cushion at 6-3. The Titans kept things close the rest of the way with both teams trading points. Hawai'i completed the sweep with a 25-21 win in the third set. Taylor capped the match notching five kills in the final set.
Hawai'i out-hit the Titans .393-to-261 and edged CSUF in blocks, 4.5-to-4.0. The 'Bows also had a 79% in sideouts, to Cal State Fullerton's 60%.
The Titans were led by Kyra Hill who had a match-high 12 kills and Kandace Thomas who had two blocks.
The Rainbow Wahine will now leave the friendly confines of the Stan Sheriff Center to play their final six matches on the road, beginning with pivotal matches at Long Beach State and CSUN next week. UH will take on the 49ers on Nov. 6 at 7:00 p.m. and then battle Matadors on Nov. 7 at 7:00 p.m.
