SAMMAMISH, Wash. – Playing in familiar territory, University of Hawai'i junior
Eimi Koga sits in a tie for fifth place following the first two rounds of the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational Tuesday at the Sahalee Country Club. The tournament is hosted by the University of Washington, where Koga spent her first years of collegiate golf.
The junior from Honolulu carded rounds of 75 and 71 on Tuesday and is 2-over 146, four strokes behind leader Bianca Pagdanganan of Gonzaga (69-73). In two previous appearances at the Ihlanfeldt Invitational, Koga posted two Top 10s, including a runner-up finish in 2014, when she finished 1-over 145 in the weather-shortened tournament.
As a team, the Rainbow Wahine are in 12
th place at 617 (314-303). California leads the tourney at 581 (287-294) followed by San Diego State (591), Washington (594), Pepperdine (597) and Gonzaga (597).
Individually, California's Lucia Gutierrez is one stroke behind Pagdanganan at 1-under 143. San Francisco's Vanessa Ha and Cal's Hannah Suh are three strokes back at 1-over 145. Koga is in a four-way tie for fifth.

The tournament concludes on Wednesday with the third and final round. Koga is seeking her second win of the season after opening the season by capturing the Hobble Creek Classic last month.
