HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine soccer team heads into its final stretch of the 2015 season hoping to earn its first Big West Conference win. The 'Bows will look to find that first win this week when they hit the road for the final time playing at UC Davis on Thursday, Oct. 22 (4:00 p.m. PT, 1:00 p.m. HT) and at Long Beach State this Sunday, Oct. 25 (6:00 p.m. PT, 3:00 p.m. HT).
Handled by its opposition for much of the league season thus far, the 'Bows (3-11-1, 0-5 BWC) gave CSUN, the conference's only undefeated team, a run for its money this past weekend. UH gave up an early second half goal and despite a late push for an equalizer, fell to the Matadors 1-0.
Dani Crawford continues to lead the team with three goals while
Storm Kenui, playing in the back in place of an injured
Lidia Battaglia, has a team-high three assists.
Erica Young had her third start of the season in goal this past weekend, playing 90 minutes and allowing just the one CSUN goal while making four saves including a point blank stop in the second half.
