Women's Soccer Faces Tough Test Against CSUN

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i women's soccer team continues Big West Conference action with a home match versus CSUN on Sunday, Oct. 18 at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 5:00 p.m.

The 'Bows (3-10-1, 0-4 BWC) have gotten off to a rough start in Big West play and are still searching for their first conference win. They are coming off their first league road trip having lost to both UC Riverside and Cal State Fullerton. All three of UH's wins have come at WPSS.

The Rainbow Wahine will have an uphill climb to get back into contention for one of the four Big West Tournament spots. The top four teams of the final regular season standings will advance to the league tournament to be held Nov. 5 and 8 at Titan Stadium in Fullerton, Calif.

The Matadors undoubtedly pose a serious threat, coming to Hawai'i at second in the Big West standings with an undefeated (2-0-1) league record and 9-5-1 overall. The two teams are 1-1-1 in their three conference meetings since 2012. UH played CSUN to a goalless overtime draw in Northridge in last season's finale, also the last road result earned by the 'Bows.
