Porlier Langlois PRs In Weight Throw At UW Invite

Day 1 Results

SEATTLE - University of Hawai'i thrower Alex Porlier Langlois achieved a personal best in the weight throw competition, Friday on the first day of the University of Washington Invitational at Dempsey Indoor.

Porlier Langlois, a senior from St-Cesaire, Quebec, bested her previous high mark by nearly four feet with a throw of 50-10 (15.49m) to place 16th overall. The mark places her seventh on the school's all-time Top 10 list. At the same venue two weeks ago. Porlier-Langlois previously set a PR in the weight throw while also missing out on a new career-best throw in the shot put.

UH pole vaulters Amber Kozaki and Tiziana Ruiz-Dominguez each cleared 12-6 (3.81m) to tie for first. On the track, sophomore Rachel Toliver ran a seasonal-best in the 200-meters with a time of 25.81 seconds to place 18th overall.

The meet continues on Saturday at Dempsey Indoor.
