HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team (9-8, 4-2 Big West) will travel to California to close the regular season against Big West opponent Cal State Northridge (12-8, 3-4 Big West) on Sunday April 20th at the Matador Tennis Complex in Northridge, Calif. First serve is slated for 10:00 a.m. PT.
Hawai'i had its recent match against UC Davis suspended due to inclement weather.
Cindy Nguyen continues to lead the 'Bows in singles wins with a 14-3 record, most recently defeating UC Irvine's Sarah Gong, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4. She and teammate
Martina Kostalova are both riding eight-match win streak in singles.
Sarah Gealer leads the team in doubles with seven wins.
Cal State Northridge lost their last match at UC Santa Barbara, 5-2. The Matadors' Lorraine Cheung has team- high 12 singles victories. Doubles pair Kristen Poei and Mickey Hsu pace the team in doubles with an impressive 16-3 record. The duo is currently on a ten-match win streak.
Hawai'i defeated Cal State Northridge last season in Honolulu, 6-1.
