HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i women's tennis match against UC Davis has been suspended due to inclement weather. The dual match between the Rainbow Wahine (9-8, 4-2 Big West) and the Aggies (12-8, 4-3 Big West) will try to be completed while the 'Bows are on the road on their final roadtrip in a couple of weeks.
The match was originally scheduled to have been played yesterday at 11:00 a.m, but after about five hours of rainy weather the teams started the match with singles action. The match was suspended due to rain with all six matches in the second set. The match was to be continued on Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. But continuing rain showers prevented the match from ever restarting.
The two teams are currently working to reschedule the match at a later date. The official date and time will be posted on HawaiiAthletics.com once it is finalized.
It was the final home match for a pair of four-year letterwinners
Kelsey Daguio and
Xenia Suworowa.
The 'Bows are currently in third place in the Big West standings. They will play their next match on the road against Big West opponent Cal State Northridge on Sunday, April 20th, in Northridge Calif.
