Game Notes
FULLERTON—The University of Hawai'i women's basketball team (15-11, 10-5 Big West) hits the road with a quick turnaround to play their final regular season game at Cal State Fullerton (11-17, 7-8 Big West) after playing at home for Senior Night against UC Santa Barbara on Thursday night.
The win moved UH into a tie for second place in the Big West with idle Cal Poly. It was the team's fifth win in the last six games and seventh in eight Big West home games this year. It was also the sixth straight year that UH won on Senior Night.
Seniors
Diane Moore, Sydney Haydell,
Pua Kailiawa and
Kamilah Jackson were honored following the game after making their final home appearances. Jackson sat out for the fifth straight game due to injury, but the senior was honored following the game as one of the top players in program history.
Making just her second start of the year, Moore made her Senior Night a memorable one by pouring in career high 17 points, while adding four rebounds and two steals.
Ashleigh Karaitiana also scored 17 points, while
Morgan Mason added 16 points off the bench.
The Titans boast a trio of players who are averaging over 10 points a game. CSF is led by junior guard Alex Thomas, who is averaging 15.0 points per game while Chante Miles if right behind with 13.5 points per game. Miles also leads Cal State Fullerton with 113 assists and 36 steals. Kathleen Iwuoha is scoring 10.6 a game while pulling down a team-high 7.4 rebounds a game. The Titans are coming off a tough 72-78 loss at UC Irvine on Thursday night. Saturday night's game against Hawai'i will be their Senior Night.

Head Coaches: Hawai'i head coach
Laura Beeman is in her second season with the Rainbow Wahine. She has a 33-25 record at UH. At Mt. San Antonio, she recorded a 390-110 record in the junior college ranks. Cal State Fullerton's Daron Park is in his first season as a head coach. He comes into this week with an 11-17 record overall.
Series Information: Hawai'i and Cal State Fullerton are knotted at 14-14 in their series history together. The two teams are 7-7 when playing at Fullerton. Hawai'i won the earlier game this year on Feb. 15, 65-52. Last season, the Titans won their home game, 53-41 (Jan. 3, 2013) and the 'Bows bounced back with a 53-43 victory in Honolulu. But CSF knocked UH out of the BWC Tournament with a 66-51 win on March 13, 2013.
