HONOLULU – Results from Saturday's Leah Bennett Invitational at the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex.
 
Joanna Franke-Kuhn set a meet record in the hammer throw. Although competing unattached the senior from Duncan, British Columbia threw 183-11 (56.07m). Mia Lopez, Marie MacDonald and Jacqueline Donovan all had significant increases in their personal bests in the hammer.
 
Freshmen Rachel Toliver and Raion Black improved on their seasonal-bests in the 200-meters, placing second and third, respectively. Both finished behind senior Ashley Satterwhite, who ran unattached and won the event in 25.22. Toliver clocked in at 25.49 while Black timed in at 25.93.
 
Alex Porlier-Langlois competing in her first outdoor competition breaking her personal record in the shot put with a meet record heave of 49-2.25 (14.99m).
 
In addition, Richard Torres of Walnut Grove Secondary School set a new stadium record in men's 2k steeplechase, finishing in 6:50.27 while Polina Carlson set a meet record in the women's 5000-meters with a time of 17:03.83.
