Rainbow Warriors Travel To Colorado State For MW Contest

Game Notes | Watch Video |

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i Rainbow Warrior football team returns to the state of Colorado for a Mountain West showdown with Mountain Division leader Colorado State, Saturday, Nov., 8. Kick-off is 5:00 p.m. MT (2:00 p.m. HT) at Hughes Stadium and the game will be televised nationally on ESPNU.

The Rainbow Warriors (2-7, 1-3 MW) will look to snap a 16-game road losing streak – the longest active streak in the nation – which dates back to the 2011 season and also includes 10 straight conference road games.

UH is coming off a 35-14 loss to Utah State in Honolulu last Saturday, the Rainbow Warriors' largest margin of defeat this season. Meanwhile, Colorado State (8-1, 4-1) extended its win streak to seven games following a 38-31 victory at San Jose State. The Rams' only loss was at Boise State in Week 2.

Despite a 1-3 league mark, Hawai'i is still only one loss behind West Division leaders Nevada (3-2) and San Diego State (3-2) while SJSU is 2-2. With four MW games remaining, the Rainbow Warriors are not mathematically eliminated from the Division title.

The Rams hold a half-game lead in the Mountain Division over BSU (3-1) and USU (3-1) with three games to play. Off to its best start since 2000, CSU is 4-0 at home this season. The Rams have won the last five games in the series and five straight in Fort Collins. UH last defeated CSU in 1992 and last won in Fort Collins in 1988.
