Hawai'i lead 3-1 but saw the final three victories go to the Bulldogs. After getting swept in doubles play, singles action started auspiciously when

Nils Schuhmann, and
Chas Okamoto finished 1-2-3 to give the Warriors (3-7) a solid lead. All three won in straight sets with Okamoto winning a first-set tiebreaker over Sam MacNeil.
Then it was Fresno State's turn, as the Bulldogs (4-9) won the next three matches to edge UH.
Dmytro Kovalyov lost at the two, 6-4, 6-4, to Sai Kartik Nakireddi then
Jonathan Brooklyn was beaten at first singles by Reid deLaubenfels, 7-5, 6-4.
The deciding match was the most competitive of the day. At No. 5,
Danilo Casanova rallied for a second-set win to send the match to a third set, but FS's Felipe Fritz came back and won a third-set tiebreaker to give the Bulldogs the victory.
Doubles play saw the Bulldogs grab the point after handily winning the first two finishes. Brooklyn and Okamoto fell at the one to deLaubenfels and MacNeil, 8-1. FS then won the point when Spiker and
David Schuster fell at No. 2.
