HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i women's basketball team (11-11, 7-4 Big West) return home to host a pair of conference games against UC Davis and Pacific this Thursday and Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in the Stan Sheriff Center.
 
The Rainbow Wahine won their first two games on this past roadtrip before falling at UC Irvine to even their record at 11-11 and dropping them into a three-way tie for second place at 7-4 with Cal Poly and UC Santa Barbara. Pacific is just one game ahead of the pack at 8-3.
 
Junior forward Kamilah Martin continues to lead the league with 15.8 points per conference game and is now third with 9.5 rebounds a game. In UH's last game at UCI, she recorded her eighth double-double of the season to lead the 'Bows with 12 points and a season-high 19 rebounds. Martin now has 37 career double-doubles and this season, she has scored in double-figures in 18-of-21 games. Overall, she is averaging a team-high 15.5 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.
 
Hawai`i defeated UC Davis earlier this season on the road on Jan. 18, 71-63. In that game, Ashleigh Karaitiana led UH with 22 points and nine boards, while Martin poured in 18 points and eight rebounds. The Aggies come to Honolulu after going 2-2 in four straight home games. This past Saturday, the Aggies knocked off Cal Poly, 79-69 fueled by an 11-0 run to start the game and a 12-2 run in the second half.
 
The Rainbow Wahine have a 2-for-1 ticket special that starts this week for four of the last five home games (UC Davis, Pacific, UC Riverside, and Cal State Fullerton). Also, following the Feb. 14 and Feb. 16 contests, keiki are invited to come down to the court for “Layup Lines” and will be given the opportunity to shoot layups under both baskets. Just come down the steps opposite Gate A and you will be escorted to the court.

Ticket Information: General admission-adult: $7; General Admission-Senior Citizen: $5; Students (ages 4-high school): $3; UH Manoa Students receive admission to regular season home games by presenting a valid UH I.D. UH has a 2-for-1 ticket special going on for this game in which fans receive a free ticket (of equal or lesser value) with each ticket purchased to the Rainbow Wahine's games against UC Davis (Feb. 14), Pacific (Feb. 16), UC Riverside (Mar. 7) and CSU Fullerton (Mar.9). Tickets need to be purchased at the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office
Promotions: Jack in the Box is the game sponsor on Thursday and will distribute 200 seat cushions and award $100 in Jack Cash at halftime. The first 100 female fans to enter the arena will receive a Valentine's Day carnation, compliments of Watanabe Floral. 
Series Record: UC Davis and UH are tied at  2-2. Hawai'i their first meeting earlier this season, 71-63 in Davis, Calif. on Jan. 18.
Coaches: Hawai'i head coach Laura Beeman is in her first season at the helm of the Rainbow Wahine program. She has an 11-11 overall record and a 7-4 mark in conference. Prior UH, Beeman made her mark at the junior college level where she enjoyed a phenomenally successful 15-year run as the head coach at Mt. San Antonio College (Mt. SAC). There she led the Mounties to 10 conference championships and four California Community College State Championships—including a string of three straight from 2006-08. Beeman posted a 390-110 (.780) record during her tenure at Mt. SAC. UC Davis' head coach Jennifer Gross has a 27-25 career and school record with the Aggies.
