HONOLULU – Emily Hartong posted a double-double with 16 kills and 11 digs and the No. 12 University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine volleyball team closed the regular season with a 25-19, 25-18, 27-25 win over Cal State Fullerton to clinch a share of the Big West Conference title.

Hawai'i (26-4), along with UC Santa Barbara and Cal State Northridge, finished with identical 13-3 league records. The share of the Big West crown marks UH's 19th straight conference title, one that looked elusive before UCSB dropped a five-set thriller to Long Beach State on Friday night.

Bre Moreland led the Titans (11-17, 4-12 BWC) with 11 kills and Julie Consani had a team-high 11 digs.

Nikki Taylor added 13 kills for the 'Bows who had to go extras in set three to complete the sweep. A Leah Best (4 K) kill gave CSF a 9-4 lead, but Taylor drilled a pair of kills that sparked a UH rally that tied the score at 10-10. Taylor was key down the stretch as well, regaining the lead twice for the 'Bows on a block and a kill. Tai Manu-Olevao capped the wild third set with a match-clinching kill.

Set one saw the 'Bows trail midway through but go on a late 10-1 run to propel them to a one-set lead. Hartong spearheaded the run, blasting five consecutive kills to give Hawai'i an 18-16 lead. After a series of hitting errors by the Titans, a kill each by Hartong and Taylor put the set to bed. Hawai'i went on an early 7-1 run in set two and never looked back. Four straight Titan errors extended the UH lead to 16-7 before a pair of Hartong kills gave her team a late 10-point lead.

With the regular season concluded, the 'Bows now set their sights toward the NCAA Tournament. The NCAA selection committee meets on Sunday and will announce the tournament fields, which includes the host sites for the first and second rounds, at 9:30 ET (4:30 HT) live on ESPNU.
