HONOLULU – University of Hawai'i athletics announced the addition of two players to the men's tennis program. Kula Companion and Marcel Chan, both incoming freshman from Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama, will join the Rainbow Warriors for the 2013-14 season.
 
Companion comes in after a solid senior season. In doubles competition, he finished second in the league and third in the state with partner Tristan Kaonohi. Companion was also an attendee of the Nick Bollittieri and Sekou Bangoura International Tennis Academies.
 
Chan joins Hawai'i after a successful career at Kamehameha. He won the state doubles title in 2011 and was the 2012 state singles champion.
 
The Rainbow Warriors are currently in the midst of their fall season and begin NCAA play on Jan. 19 hosting Sacramento.
