Men's Tennis Preps For Final Home Match vs. UC Davis

HONOLULU--The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team (8-8, 1-2 Big West) will host its Senior Night match versus UC Davis (9-11, 2-3 BW) on Friday, April 10th at 4:00 p.m. HT at the UH Tennis Complex. The Rainbow Warriors will be honoring its two seniors, Timothy Li and Azuma Visaya, after the match.

LAST DUAL MATCH MEETING: Last season, UH faced the Aggies twice, once in the Golden State Invitational on March 7, 2025 which resulted in a 4-1 UH loss. The two teams squared off a second time in the opening round of the Big West Championship as UCD advanced with a 4-1 win over the Rainbow Warriors.
STREAK: UCD has won the last five meetings.

HAWAI'I RAINBOW WARRIORS NEWS & NOTESUniversity of Hawaii Logo-The Rainbow Warriors are looking to get back on the winning track by snapping their four-match losing streak. Three lof those losses came at the hands of ranked teams--#64 UNLV, #44 Loyola Marymount and #30 UC Santa Barbara and the fourth loss was against a tough Cal Poly squad.
-After UH's last matches, sophomore Adriano Dzhenev claimed his first Big West Player of the Week award joining fellow Rainbow Warriors Azuma Visaya (Jan. 14) and Timothy Li (Feb.18) as winners of the weekly conference award this season, 
-Senior Visaya leads the team with a 7-6 singles record, all playing on the No. 1 court.
-Both Kent Mueller and Dzhenev enter this week with identical 6-4 singles records.
-In doubles, UH's No. 3 pair of Dzhenev and Mueller enter the week with a team-best 8-2 record. In conference, they are undefeated at 2-0. They have won their last four decisions.
-UH's No. 2 doubles duo of Toa Maeda and Visaya are right behind Dzhenev/Mueller with a 7-6 record. Maeda and Visaya started the season strong with a 6-2 record, but have since dropped off a little, going 0-4 with two unfinished matches before notching a victory over the UC Santa Barbara team of Dominique Rolland / Conrad Brown.
