HONOLULU- The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team returns to action for their final match of the fall season as they play host to Washington on Friday, November 29
th, and Saturday, November 30
th. The matches will be played at the UH Tennis Complex, starting at 10:00 a.m.
The Rainbow Warriors come in after a strong showing at the ITA Regionals last month.
Danilo Casanova made a great run in consolation singles play, falling one win shy of reaching a quarterfinal appearance. In doubles play, pairs
David Schuster and
Chris Meyer reached the third round until they were defeated by San Diego State's Thorsten Bertsch and Hunter Nicholas.
Washington comes into the match having played in the Nordstrom Open in Seattle last week. The team is led by senior Max Manthou. In doubles play Manthou and his partner Jeffery Hawke earned the doubles title as they defeated Jose Izquierdo and Marton Bots. Manthou also had a strong showing in singles play as he fell one match shy of claiming the title.
