Women’s Soccer Continues Big West Play On The Road

The University of Hawai'i women's soccer team soccer team heads back on the road for a pair of crucial Big West matches at UC Davis (Thursday, Oct. 17, 2:00 p.m. PT) and Long Beach State (Sunday, Oct. 13, 6:00 p.m. PT).

At the midway point of their league schedule, the Rainbow Wahine (6-7, 1-3 Big West) currently sit in seventh place in the standings and must make ground quickly in the race for one of four spots in next month's Big West Tournament. UH has dropped three of its first four league matches with two of the losses coming in overtime, including a 3-2 double-overtime setback to Cal Poly in its last home match.

UH is a respectable 3-3 in road matches this year but will be searching for its first ever Big West road win this week. Following opening week losses at Cal State Fullerton and UC Riverside, UH remains winless in seven Big West road matches (0-6-1) dating back to last year.

The Rainbow Wahine are led by junior forward Tiana Fujimoto who paces the team and is second in the Big West with eight goals. UH holds a 5-1 record in matches that she scores.
