Cross Country Places 29th At Stanford Invite

Final Results

STANFORD, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's cross country team placed 29th at the Stanford Invitational, Saturday, at the Stanford Golf Course. The meet attracted close to 300 runners and 34 teams.
 
Host Stanford captured the team title with 25 points as four of its five runners placed in the top five. Kathy Kroeger won the individual title in 20:13 just ahead of teammate Cayla Hatton (20:21).
 
UH finished 29th overall with 866 points led by junior Kevyn Murphy, who made her season debut, finishing the 6K race in 22:45 for 108th place.
 
The next four Rainbow Wahine finished in a large group behind – sophomore Louise Mulvey (24:14, 219th), freshman Kelsie Kobayashi (24:37, 242nd), freshman Amity Gregg (24:50, 247th), and senior Megan Dart (24:52, 248th).
 
Also competing for UH were sophomore Amanda Lee (25:19, 257th), sophomore Tiare' Nakashima (25:26, 263rd), and sophomore Heather Delgado (27:21, 282nd).
 
The Rainbow Wahine will take next week off before splitting its squad for the Bronco Invitational in Santa Clara, Calif., and UH-Hilo Invitational in Hilo, Hawai'i.
