HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i women's soccer team looks to continue its winning ways when it hosts a pair of non-conference matches this weekend at Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Stadium. First up for the Rainbow Wahine is a meeting with Drexel on Friday, Aug. 31 at 7:00 p.m.
 
Following its match versus Drexel, UH will host BYU-Hawai'i in a Labor Day affair, Monday, Sept. 3 at 5:30 p.m. It will be UH's first-ever regular-season meeting with its North Shore neighbor.
 
The Rainbow Wahine, winners of three straight, are riding high after capturing the OHANA Hotels and Resorts No Ka `Oi tournament this past weekend with wins over Sacred Heart and Utah Valley. Those victories improved UH to 3-1 overall as the team is off to its best start since the record-setting 2007 season.
 
Tournament MVP Tiana Fujimoto led the way over the weekend with three goals, including the game-winner with six minutes left in regulation versus Sacred Heart. For her efforts the sophomore forward was named the Big West Player of the Week.  Fujimoto currently leads the conference in goals scored (4) through the first four matches of the season and has found the back of the net in each of the last three contests—all UH wins.
 
The Rainbow Wahine also looks to protect its home turf, where they are now undefeated in their last seven matches home matches (6-0-1) dating back to last year.
