Taylor Ritenberg were named to the Mid-Major Honorable Mention All-America list, announced April 26 by CollegeSwimming.com.
Alkhaldi had a breakthrough freshman year, making her mark as the team's leader in all three short-distance freestyle events. The native of the Philippines earned three personal bests at the WAC Championships (Feb. 22-25) after taking third in the 100 freestyle (50.19), fifth in the 50 freestyle (23.13), and seventh in the 200 freestyle (1:50.23).
Prior also had a notable season in concluding her UH career. The senior from Willows, Calif. led the Rainbow Wahine to a third-place finish at the WAC Championships after winning the 100 backstroke (54.07) and finishing second in the 200 backstroke (1:51.91).
Junior Ritenberg, who holds the team's top breaststroke times, also had a prominent performance at the WAC Championships. The Australia native finished fifth in the 100 breaststroke (2:15.59) and ninth in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.64).
20 swimmers from the Western Athletic Conference were given honors, including athletes from San Jose State, New Mexico State, Northern Arizona, Fresno State and Nevada.
