Track & Field Defeats Cal State Northridge In Dual Meet

Rainbow Relays Meet Results

HONOLULU -  The University of Hawai'i women's track and field team defeated Cal State Northridge in a dual meet, 119-63, as part of the Rainbow Relays, Saturday at the Clarence T.C. Ching Field.
 
Among the many highlights for the Rainbow Wahine was Cecilia Durocher's PR in winning the pole vault with a mark of 12-7.5 (3.85m). Freshman Robyn Morioka also jumped the second height and placed second.
 
Among the other UH athletes who won event with season-best marks included Ashley Aitken in the 1500-meters (4:33.33), Ashley Satterwhite in the 200-meters (wind-aided PR 24.90), Sam Balentine in the high jump (5-8.75/1.75m), Madara Apine in the triple jump (40-10.25/12.45m), Amanda Alvarez in the triple jump (wind-aided PR of 40-1.5/12.23m), Terina Keenan in the discus (171-1/52.16m), and Kellsey Trimble in the javelin (134-7/41.02m).
 
Keenen won both the discus and shot put (48-2.75/14.70m), scoring 10 team points.
 
The Rainbow Wahine will next compete in the Stanford Invitational, April 6-7 in Stanford, Calif.
