HONOLULU—The University of Hawai`i women's basketball team (11-16, 6-6 WAC) held on to defeat Nevada (5-22, 1-11 WAC), 72-68 on Senior Night at the Stan Sheriff Center. Kanisha Bello and Alissa Campanero both poured in career-highs with 19 and 16 points respectively, while Kamilah Jackson recorded her 14th double-double of the season with 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.

The game was a see-saw battle that was tightly fought with 12 lead changes and 11 ties throughout. Nevada took their last lead with 12:27 left in the second half. That was when the 'Bows battled their way back with a 14-0 run sparked by a four-point play by Bello. Jackson later hit a pair of free throws at the 9:25 mark to tie the game at 53-53 and moments later, Bello drained her second of  three treys on the night to retake the lead and the 'Bows never looked back. The Rainbow Wahine edged the Wolf Pack, 40-to-38 in rebounds and 16-to-12 in second chance points.

Four Rainbow Wahine scored in double figures in their final WAC home game ever. But it was a pair of UH newcomers who helped seal the win for UH—Bello and Campanero. Bello was 5-for-12 from the floor with three 3-pointers and was a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line. She also chipped in with three rebounds and a steal. Campanero was 3-of-7 in field goals—all three made shots were 3-pointers. She put the game away with her free throws, sinking 7-of-9 from the charity stripe. She also contributed two rebounds with two assists and one steal in 35 minutes of action.

Jackson continued to fight on the glass to secure a game-high 10 boards. Although she was just 2-of-5 from the floor with one 3-pointer, she was clutch at the free throw line, sinking 7-of-8. Jackson also added an assist and tied her season high with three steals. Vicky Tagalicod scored 10 points and tied her career high with five assists. She chipped in with five rebounds with two blocks and two steals.

The 'Bows and Wolf Pack were tied at 32-32 at the half with Bello leading all scorers through the first 20 minutes with nine points. Arbuckle, Mingo, Jackson, Bello and Adolpho were all tied at three boards apiece.

All four seniors started the game tonight—it was the first career start for both Courtney Gaddis and Carlotta Mingo. Amongst the seniors, Arbuckle had seven points, six rebounds and tied her career-high with five assists.

Hawai`i shot 34.5% for the game on 19-of-55 shooting but came through at the free-throw line, draining 27-of-31 for 87.1%.  It was the fourth straight senior game that the 'Bows have won 24-of-38 senior night games. It is the first time the Rainbow Wahine have swept three WAC home-and-home series since the 2005-06 season.

Nevada's Danika Sharp hit a game-high 20 poipnts on 7-of-11 shooting with four 3-pointers. Chanelle Brennan added 14 points and Amanda Johnson had 11 to lead the Wolf Pack.
