SUNNYVALE, Calif. – University of Hawai'i's
Kevyn Murphy placed second and the Rainbow Wahine took eighth among 21 teams at the Bronco Invitational Saturday at Baylands Regional Park.
Murphy, a junior from Manhattan Beach, Calif., completed the 5K race in 18:03.1, less than three seconds behind winner Sarah Pearson of San Francisco (18:00.3). She set a new personal best in the process and posted her highest career finish.
USF captured the team title with 83 points followed by San Francisco State (87), UCLA (121), Chico State (148) and San Jose State (155). Hawai'i finished with 188 points.
