Men’s Tennis Solid Against No. 7 Kentucky

Final Results

HONOLULU – On the final day of the Rainbow Warrior Challenge versus No. 7 Kentucky, the University of Hawai'i men's tennis team won four singles matches and a doubles match in flight play competition.
 
Chas Okamoto had the most impressive win of the day for the Rainbow Warriors. In flight A, he defeated No. 95 Tom Jomby in convincing fashion with a 6-3, 6-0 straight set victory. Okamoto continued his winning ways in flight B doubles action. With partner Chris Meyer, he topped the Wildcat pair of Ryuji Hirooka and Maks Gold, 9-8(5).
 
Other big UH wins came from Jonathan Brooklyn and recently added Carter Lam. Brooklyn topped No. 111 Alejandro Gomez, 7-6(6), 6-1, in flight A singles, and Lam defeated Matt Davis, 6-1, 4-6, 7-6(5) in flight C.
 
The 'Bows retake the court on Friday, Jan. 13 as they host Gonzaga.
