Rainbow Wahine Cross Country Concludes First Road Trip

Stanford Invite Complete Results

STANFORD, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's cross country team finished in 30th place at the Stanford Invitational, Saturday at the Stanford Golf Course.

UH's “B” team participated in the Brigham Young-Hawai'i Invitational on the same day and finished third.

The Rainbow Wahine sent a contingent of seven runners to Stanford and finished with 900 team points. Sophomore Alison Williams was Hawai'i's top finisher at 198th overall with a time of 23:49 on the 6K course.

Freshman Louise Mulvey finished 218th at 24:11 followed by sophomore Kevyn Murphy (24:20, 224th), freshman Ariana Horton (25:07, 247th), junior Megan Dart (25:30, 252nd), freshman Heather Delgado (25:55, 259th), and freshman Hayley Musashi (26:11, 265th).

Host Stanford won the team title with all five finishers in the Top 10 including winner Kathy Kroeger, who completed the race in 20:07 just ahead of teammate Aisling Cuffe (20:12).

In La'ie, the Rainbow Wahine competed with the state's four Division II schools at the BYUH Invite. UH's top five finishers were Rachelle Wilson (20:44, 9th), Evangeline Rehwaldt (20:48, 10th), Tiare Nakashima (21:01, 12th), Denise Nakamura (21:27, 17th), and Laci Sweany (22:44, 20th).

BYUH won the meet as its top five finishers all placed in the Top 10, including individual winner Lacey Krout, who crossed the 5K finish line in 18:45.
