HONOLULU – The University of Hawai`i women's tennis team defeated Loyola Marymount on Wednesday afternoon at the UH Tennis Complex. The Rainbow Wahine improved their record to 4-6 with the win.

 

UH fought hard to win the doubles point at the No. 1 court where Katarina Poljakova and Barbara Pinterova clinched the first point of the day with a 9-7 victory over Ashley Anderson and Miya Jin. Alyssa Nafarrete and Magdalena Ploch were also successful in doubles action, breezing by their opponents with an 8-4 victory.

 

Ploch, Nafarrete and Natasha Zorec won the first three singles matches to secure the win for the Rainbow Wahine.

 

Up next, the Rainbow Wahine will face Gonzago on Wednesday, March 9 at the UH Tennis Complex. First serve will take place at 3:00 pm.
