HONOLULU – The ninth-ranked University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team will host the NAIA's top-ranked team Cal Baptist in a two-match non-conference series this week. Friday's match will be played at the Stan Sheriff Center at 7:00 p.m. while Saturday's match will be held at Maui's War Memorial Gym in Wailuku at 5:00 p.m.
 
The Warriors (3-6) split a two-match series with UC Santa Barbara last week in Honolulu, which evened their Mountain Pacific Sports Federation record to 3-3. Outside hitter Joshua Walker led the Hawai'i attack with a 4.14 kills per set average on .365 hitting, including 18 kills in the Warriors' four-set win in the opener.
 
The Lancers (10-3) are on a nine-match win streak and are coming off a Volleyball Hall of Fame Classic championship in Springfield, Mass., having defeated NCAA Division I No. 15 Pacific for the title. Levi Cabral was named the Most Valuable Player after tallying 17 kills on .577 hitting against Grand Canyon and 15 kills on .444 hitting versus UOP.
 
On the year, Cal Baptist is 3-3 versus MPSF teams, including wins over UC Irvine, UC San Diego, and Pacific.

Television Coverage: KFVE-TV (Ch. 5) will televise Friday's match live with Jim Leahey (play-by-play) and Ryan Tsuji (color). Rebroadcast of UH match at 10:30 p.m.
Radio Coverage: ESPN 1420AM will broadcast both UH matches live with Scott Robbs calling the action on Friday and Blaine Kauwe calling the play-by-play on Saturday.

Tickets: (STAN SHERIFF CENTER) - Lower-level $11; Upper-level adult $8, Upper-level senior citizen $7; Upper-level student (4-HS) $3. UH receive admission with validated ID. (WAR MEMORIAL GYM) - $8 (adults), $6 (senior citizens ages 65+), and $3 (students ages 4-high school).

UH Alumni Association paid members will receive 50% off adult tickets (maximum of eight) to Friday's contest. A valid Alumni Association membership card is required when purchasing tickets at the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office. Tickets are in special sections and supplies are limited. Series vs. Cal Baptist: The series is tied at 1-1 after the teams split a two-match series in Honolulu in 2004. Cal Baptist won the opener, 23-30, 33-31, 30-28, 22-30, 15-10 while the Warriors won the rematch the following night, 30-28, 30-17, 30-26.
