IRVINE, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine tennis team continued on its four-match road swing through California with a 6-1 loss against nationally ranked No. 65 UC Irvine on Sunday at the Anteater Tennis Stadium.

UH showed their competitiveness and fought hard against another nationally ranked team, however, they were unable to pull through. Katarina Poljakova, was the lone victory in singles action for the Rainbow Wahine defeating Rebecca Kwan in the No. 2 position. Poljakova is undefeated in singles play this season with a 6-0 record.

Next up for the Rainbow Wahine is a match at Pepperdine, Tuesday, Feb. 8. First serve is at 1:30 pm PT (11:30 a.m. HT).
