No. 6 Hawai'i Closes WAC Regular Season Hosting LaTech and New Mexico State

Match Notes

Seniors To Be Honored Against Aggies

HONOLULU - The No. 6 University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team enters the final weekend of Western Athletic Conference play, hosting Louisiana Tech on Thursday, Nov. 10 and New Mexico State Saturday, Nov. 12. The Rainbow Wahine are looking to complete their third straight undefeated conference regular season, having already captured their 16th regular season title.

At Saturday's match versus the Aggies, UH will bid aloha to seniors Kanani Danielson, Chanteal Satele, and Alex Griffiths at its annual Senior Night. Danielson, a graduate of Kamehameha School-Kapalama in Honolulu, will exit as one of the best players ever to don a Rainbow Wahine uniform. This season she became just the seventh player in UH history to record 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs for a career. Satele graduated from Word of Life Academy in Honolulu before playing two seasons at St. Mary's College (CA). Last season, her first at UH, she started every match en route to a first team all-WAC selection. Griffiths became a Rainbow Wahine last season after two seasons at Vanguard University. She had a career-high eight digs in last season's WAC Tournament championship match versus Utah State.

UH is 31-2 all-time versus NMSU and a perfect 20-0 against Louisiana Tech. The Aggies pushed the 'Bows to the limit last month in Las Cruces. In a match broadcasted live on ESPNU, UH topped New Mexico State in five sets to grab sole possession of first place in the WAC.
