UPDATE: UH Athletics has been informed that boxing champion Manny Pacquiao will not be able to attend Saturday's football game against Fresno State, so there will be no ceremony held prior to the game.
HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i Warrior football team begins a regular season-ending three-game homestand against Western Athletic Conference rival Fresno State, Saturday, Nov. 19. Kickoff is 6:05 p.m. at Aloha Stadium.
The Warriors (5-5, 3-3 WAC), who close the regular season with home games with Fresno State, Tulane, and Brigham Young, have dropped their last two games, including last Saturday's 42-28 setback to Nevada. Starting quarterback
Bryant Moniz went down with a leg injury that will force him to miss the rest of the regular season. Despite allowing 528 yards of total offense to Nevada, the Warriors kept within striking distance behind backup
Shane Austin, who finished with 246 yards passing and one touchdown. The Wolf Pack sealed the victory with a fake field goal that resulted in a touchdown with just over four minutes to play.
The Bulldogs (3-7, 2-3) are coming off their first-ever loss to New Mexico State (48-45)last week. Fresno State has dropped its last three games, allowing an average of 44.7 points per game, and are assured of a losing season for just the third time in 15 years.
The teams have met 43 times with the series tied 21-21-1. UH holds a 14-10 advantage in the series in games played in Honolulu.
