Final Results
HILO, Hawai'i – The University of Hawai'i women's cross country team placed third at the UH-Hilo Invitational Saturday at the Naniloa Volcanoes Resort Golf and Country Club.
Three Rainbow Wahine placed in the Top 10 led by sophomore
Kevyn Murphy who took fourth completing the 5K course in 19:21, eight seconds ahead of junior
Ashlee Jimenez, who placed eighth. Freshman
Louise Mulvey placed 10
th at 19:39, her first career career Top 10 finish.
As a team, UH placed third, behind winner Alaska-Fairbanks (37 pts.) and BYU-Hawai'i (43). The Rainbow Wahine scored 61 points followed by Hawai'i Pacific (92), Chaminade (146), and host UH-Hilo (153).
BYUH's Lacey Lynn Krout edged teammate Katherine Buxton for the individual title, crossing the finish line in 18:21 ahead of Buxton's 18:24.
