Men’s Basketball Hosts Idaho In WAC Home Opener

Game Notes

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team (9-5, 0-2 WAC) returns to the Stan Sheriff Center for its Western Athletic Conference home opener against Idaho (7-6, 1-1 WAC) on Thursday, Jan. 6. Tipoff is set for approximately 7:30 p.m., following the women's game at 5:00 p.m.

UH started conference play on the road last week with a pair of losses at Utah State and Nevada. The Rainbow Warriors gave a gritty effort at Utah State, nearly pulling off a monumental upset, however, were outgunned at Nevada on the second leg of the trip to fall to 0-2 in league play. The Bows now return to the SSC where they are 8-1 this season, with six of those wins coming in double-digits.

Following its game against the Vandals, the Bows will take on Boise State on Saturday, Jan. 8. That game will also be part of a women's doubleheader with the men's game tipping off at approximately 7:30 p.m. Fans with a men's ticket will be admitted free to the women's game.
