RICHMOND, Calif. – Four University of Hawai'i Rainbow sailors participated in the PCCSC Men's Singlehanded Championships, Sept. 26-27.
Ryan Wild was the top UH finisher, placing ninth with a total of 74 points.
A total of 18 sailors from 9 schools participated in the regatta hosted by California and Cal Maritime at the Richmond Yacht Club. Nine races were completed over the course of two days with Cal Maritime's sailor Sean Kelley (15 points) and Stanford's Harrison Hatton (40) taking the top two spots. The pair automatically qualified for the Men's Singlehanded Nationals to be held in Corpus Christi, Texas, in November.
The Rainbows next participate in the Stoney Burke Intersectional in San Francisco, Oct. 10-11.
