Mt. SAC Relays Results
AZUSA, Calif. – Members of the University of Hawai'i women's track and field team were in action at both the Bryan Clay Invitational, on the campus of Azusa Pacific University, and the Mt. SAC Relays, hosted by Mt. San Antonio College, Friday.
The majority of the team competed at the Bryan Clay Invitational, named after the Hawai'i native who captured the gold medal in the decathlon at last summer's Olympic Games. UH's pole vaulters competed at Mt. SAC.
Among the notables was freshman
Kai Schmidt's second place finish in the javelin with a seasonal best throw of 138-1 (42.09m).
TeRina Keenan placed fifth in the discus with a throw 152-2 (46.39m) while
Careena Onosai finished 10
th at 148-2 (45.18m). Freshman
Jamilee Jimenez posted a ninth place finish in the long jump with a season-best mark of 18-6 (5.64m).
At Mt. SAC,
Jessica Custance led a group of four UH pole vaulters with a tie for seventh after clearing 12-1.5 (3.70m).
The Rainbow Wahine wrap up their road trip by competing in the Beach Invitational Saturday at Cerritos College in Norwalk, Calif.
