St. Mary's City, Md. – The University of Hawai`i coed sailing team finished 10th at the St. Mary's Team Race held March 14-15. Boston College and host St. Mary's each ended with a 10-2 overall record with the Eagles winning a tie-breaker for the regatta championship.
A total of 52 races were sailed including a final sail off for four teams who advanced to the finals. It was rough going for the Rainbows who were greeted by cold temperatures, light rain and not much wind in their trek to the East Coast. UH failed to advance going 0-9 during the round-robin competition. Sailing for UH were
