Round 2 Results
SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, O'ahu – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team remains in 14
th place after the second round of the John A. Burns Intercollegiate Thursday at the Leilehua Golf Course. As a team, UH shot 294 and is 10-over for the tournament.
The Warriors remained steady throughout the day with its top five golfers shooting rounds of 75 or better. Junior
Robert Berton and sophomore
Kamden Brakel each shot even-par 72, the best rounds of the day among the competing Warriors. After two rounds, Berton is currently in a tie for 25
th place at two-under 142 (70-72) while Brakel is tied for 61
st at four-over 148 (72-72).
Freshman #T.J. Kua#, who shot a 68 in Round 1, struggled with a three-over 75 and is tied for 31
st at one-under 143 (68-75). Freshmen
Jared Sawada and
Pono Calip also shot 75. Sawada is tied for 85
th at nine-over 153 (78-75) while Calip is tied for 87
th at 10-over 154 (79-75).
First round leader Arizona (276-280) will take a six shot lead into Friday's final round after shooting a 280. Arizona's Tarquin Macmanus continues to lead after firing a two-under 70 and is 10-under for the tournament. BYU's Jordan Hammer, who is competing as an individual, is two shots back at eight-under.
The tournament concludes on Friday with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m.
