Women’s Basketball Begins Four-Game Home Stand Against Aggies

HONOLULU - The University of Hawai'i women's basketball team begins a four-game home stand Friday night against New Mexico State at 7 p.m. The Rainbow Wahine continue home action against Louisiana Tech on Sunday, Feb. 22 at 5 p.m.
 
After playing Louisiana Tech and New Mexico State on the road last week, UH gets the chance to avenge losses at both schools on Friday and Sunday.
 
On the road, the Rainbow Wahine dropped the first game to Louisiana Tech 68-56 and lost at New Mexico State 69-57. UH is eager to get a chance this week and bring its 5-19 overall record and 2-8 Western Athletic Conference mark to the table.
 
New Mexico State comes into the week with an 8-17 overall record and a 4-7 conference mark. Louisiana Tech is 14-11 overall and 7-4 in conference play. The New Mexico State game will be the second WAC game of the year that UH has faced an opponent in back-to-back games.
