Game Notes
HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine basketball team will open the 2009-10 season and a new era of Rainbow Wahine basketball with three games on the road this week. UH will open the season at UC Riverside at 3 p.m. PT (1 p.m. HT) on Tuesday, Nov. 17. They'll then play at UCLA and Cal State Bakersfield on Nov. 19 and 21, respectively, with both games starting at 7 p.m. PT (5 p.m. HT).
The three games on the road will be the first regular season games under new head coach Dana Takahara-Dias. She takes over the program as the seventh head coach all-time, but is the first former player to hold that position.
UH won their only exhibition game of the preseason, defeating Hawai'i Pacific 73-70 in overtime. Four players finished in double-figures, including 12 points and seven assists from
Keisha Kanekoa.
