UH senior
Andreas Weber, who began tournament play today, defeated South Florida's Lucas Jovita, the top-seeded player entering the qualifiers. Weber defeated Jovita, ranked No. 48 in the preseason ITA singles rankings, in two sets 7-6 (3), 6-3. The junior, ranked preseason at No. 119, will resume play in the second round against Dino Bilankov from Minnesota on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, UH sophomore
