WAIPAHU, O'ahu – The University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine soccer team (4-8-1, 0-2-0 WAC) fell to the Fresno State (3-8-0, 1-0) 1-0 at Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Stadium Sunday.

 

Fresno State scored the only goal of the match in the 37th minute. Bulldog Laura Dodd kicked a hard cross into the box, which went off a Hawai'i defender into the back of the net.

 

Kristyn Shapka led the team with three shots, including two shots on goal. Britta Bourne added three shots with one on goal.

 

The Rainbow Wahine will host their annual alumnae match on Friday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m. at the Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Stadium. UH will then head out on its first WAC road trip, playing at Louisiana Tech and New Mexico State, on Oct. 16 and 18, respectively.
