MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of  Hawai'i Warrior football team dropped its fourth straight contest with a 35-23 loss to Idaho Saturday afternoon at the Kibbie Dome. The Warriors fell to 2-4 overall and 0-3 in the Western Athletic Conference.

DeMaundray Woolridge ran for four touchdowns, including two fourth-quarter scores, to help secure the Idaho's fifth straight win. The Vandals improved to 6-1 overall and a perfect 3-0 in the WAC.

The win was just Idaho's second in 10 all-time meetings with UH and the first over the Warriors since joining the WAC in 2005. Meanwhile, UH has lost four straight overall for the first time since the 2000 season. That was also the last time Hawai'i dropped its first three conference games.

The Warriors never led in the game but stayed within striking distance for much of the way and trailed by just four points early in the fourth quarter. The game was a shootout early on as the first four drives resulted in points. UH actually out-gained the Vandals and nearly doubled them up in time of possession in the first half, but trailed 14-10 at the break.

It was a 21-17 game early in the fourth quarter after a Bryant Moniz 15-yard run. But Wooldridge rumbled in from 1-yard out midway through the fourth quarter to make it and 11-point margin and UH fumbled on their next possession to effectively seal the game.

Moniz performed admirable in his second career start and first on the road for the Warriors. The sophomore finished 30-of-42 for 360 yards and one touchdown. Junior wide receiver Greg Salas grabbed a career-high 10 catches for 123 yards and a score.

Woolridge finished with 81 yards rushing, while Idaho quarterback Nathan Enderle finished 14-of-17 for 226 yards and one touchdown.

UH next returns home to take on nationally ranked Boise State on Saturday, Oct. 24. Kickoff is set for 5:05 p.m. at Aloha Stadium
