Chloe Bihag rallied for a three-set victory over Elena Hudzikova to give the Rainbow Wahine a 4-3 victory over Hawai'i Pacific Sunday at the UH Tennis Complex.
Bihag dropped the first set 6-1 before storming back in winning the final two sets, 7-5, 6-4 at the No. 4 court. The Ewa Beach, O'ahu native also teamed with Sophie Kobuch to defeat Ingrid Cseh and Lauren Shin, 8-1, at No. 1 doubles.
The Rainbow Wahine (5-16) swept the season series with the Sea Warriors after pulling out a 5-2 win on April 2. The match was the first of a regular season double-header for UH, who were scheduled to meet Chaminade later in the day.
UH took the doubles point after Natasha Zorec and Jennifer Goldman defeated Anastasia Ageychik and Nina Mihova, 8-4, at the No. 2 court.
In singles play, Kobuch swept Cseh, 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 and Goldman held on for a 7-5, 7-6 (3) win over Tinka Mihova at No. 5. HPU took the Nos. 2, 3, and 6 positions as Nina Mihova, Ageychik and Shin won their matches over Zorec, Julia Sandborn, and Marie Tanaka.
