HONOLULU - The University of Hawai'i women's basketball team begins a four-game home stand on Friday, Dec. 19 when it hosts Washington State at 2 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center. The two teams will play each other in a two-game series, which concludes on Monday, Dec. 22 at 5 p.m.
The Rainbow Wahine enter the week with a 2-7 overall record, while Washington State brings a 6-2 record to the islands.
UH had last weekend off after traveling to Tempe, Ariz. the week before. The Rainbow Wahine went 1-1 at the Arizona State Invitational, beating UC Irvine and losing to Northern Arizona.
Washington State is coming off a road win at Idaho on Sunday. The Cougars have faced two WAC teams this season, beating Boise State at Boise and beating the Vandals at Idaho.
UH leads the all-time series with Washington State 4-0, with all four game being played on the islands. The last time the two teams met, UH won 68-63 in 2006.
