WAIKOLOA, Hawai'i –University of Hawai'i sophomore Dennis Lajola was ousted in the second round of the main draw of the USTA Waikoloa Futures, Thursday, at the Hilton Waikoloa Resort.

 

After a great start and winning the first set 6-3 against Chase Buchanan, Lajola dropped the next two sets, 6-4, 6-3. Lajola is ranked No. 89 in the latest ITA singles rankings and leads the Rainbow Warriors in singles victories. 

   

Eight of the nine Rainbow Warriors were represented in the USTA's Pro Circuit singles and doubles tournament.  The pro circuit tournament continues throughout the week. 

The Rainbow Warriors will next play in the USTA Honolulu Futures tournament beginning on Saturday. All matches will be played at Central Oahu Regional Park.
